Compress

You can compress files to single zip file using File Manager HD.

	Compress single file/folder: Long click on file entry, from popup menu choose "Compress" menu item.
	Compress multiple files: Enable multiple selections mode, select multiple source files and then click "Compress" button in toolbar.

Decompress

You can extract zip or rar files using File Manager HD.

Extract: Long click on zip or rar file, from popup menu, choose "Extract" menu item. You can extract files to current or new folder.

You can access password protected zip or rar files. When you extract encrypted files, a password dialog will appear. Please notice that some special encryption mechanism may not be well supported.

Direct Access

File Manager HD has the ability to directly browse compress file contents without extraction. You can single click on compressed file in File Manager HD to access them, which is similar as browsing standard folders. Encrypted files are also supported. Bookmarks to compress file contents are also supported.

For zip files, you can modify the compressed contents dynamically. You can add files to or delete files from zip file directly without extraction. Please note that rar files and encrypted zip files do not support dynamic editing.
