Feature Introduction
You can access popular cloud storages transparently using File Manager. You will have the same user experience as local files when accessing cloud storages.
Current supported cloud storage providers include: Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, SkyDrive and SugarSync.
Setup Connection
You need setup an authenticated connection to your cloud storage before accessing them. Please follow the steps below:
1. Click "Network" button from file manager toolbar to open network activity. | |
2. Then click "Create" button from network activity toolbar, launch creation dialog. |
From creation dialog, you can choose which cloud storage you want to connect to:
Create connection to Dropbox. | |
Create connection to Box. | |
Create connection to Google Drive. | |
Create connection to SkyDrive. | |
Create connection to SugarSync. | |
Create connection to Yandex Disk. | |
Create connection to Ubuntu One. |
After choosing cloud storage provider, you need to finish an authentication process to approve File Manager to access selected cloud storage. You just need to execute this kind of authentication once, and then File Manager will save the access token for future access.
When you finish the authentication, you need wait a few seconds for File Manager to retrieve your account information, then a new connection will appear in network activity. You can start to access your cloud storage files by clicking the connection.
Please notice that you can also create bookmark or home screen shortcut directly to cloud storage.
Bookmark Connection
You can create bookmark to cloud connection in the same network activity page.
Long click on the connection entry, from popup dialog, choose "Boomark" menu item to add cloud connection to bookmarks. |
Delete Connection
You can delete cloud connection in the same network activity page.
Long click on the connection entry, from popup dialog, choose "Delete" menu item to remove the connection settings. |
Please notice that after you delete the connection, the bookmarks or home screen shortcuts which point to this connection may be no longer valid.
