File Manager HD cannot find my external SD card?

File Manager HD can manage external SD(MicroSD) card. The only problem is that user needs to find out the path to external SD card.

File Manager HD will automatically detect the sd card path on Android 3.2+. When you have an external SD card, there will be a "SD Card" menu item shown in navigation drawer. If this menu item does not shown on your device, please contact support@rhmsoft.com to get more specified support.

File Manager HD cannot support USB storage(OTG)?

File Manager HD can access USB storage using OTG.

If your device directly support to mount USB storage, you just need to find out the mount point to the USB storage, such as "/storage/usbdisk", etc.

If your device does not support OTG, you may need some additional work. As far as I know, currently only rooted devices can support OTG by installing some USB mount applications, such as "StickMount". Then your USB storage can be mounted to your device, the path may like "/sdcard/usbStorage/xxxx/". You can navigate your File Manager to this path to access your USB storage. You can find more information by Google or from "StickMount" application introduction.

How to set/reset default application for specified file type?

File Manager is using Android built-in mechanism to associate file type and applications.

If you want to set the default application to open specified file type, such as "*.bmp" file, you just need to click "Always" button or check "remember my choice" in application chosen dialog.

If you want to change the default application which is used to open specified file type, you need to go to Android settings->apps, find out the current default application and in the application page, click "Clear Defaults" to release current file association.
