Settings
You can change default preferences in settings page, by clicking "Settings" in navigation drawer.
General Settings
Language:
You can change application language to be different with your system language.
File Association:
You can add new or change existing file associations between file extension and language syntax.
You can assign known file extensions to another language syntax, or add unknown file extension to desired language syntax.
You can keep the file extension as blank, then you can assign the default syntax for files without extension.
Word Wrap:
You can choose whether to enable line (word) wrap to fit screen width. Word wrap is the feature of continuing on a new line when a line is full according to the screen width, by default this is disabled.
Please be noticed that when word wrap is enabled, the performance of text rendering will be slower.
File Filter:
You can hide unknown file types from file open dialog. Commonly file open dialog will only contain text files. If the file you want to open does not show in file open dialog, please turn off this option to show all kinds of files.
Resume Session:
If this setting is enabled, Code Editor will remember the files for last session and reopen them when you launch it next time. By default, this is enabled since version 1.6.0.
Input Method
Show Suggestion:
You can choose whether to display suggested words while typing.
Your input method should have word suggestion feature, which should also be enabled first.
This preference has the following options to be chosen from:
ON: Turn on input method suggestion. Choose this option when you are writing articles.
OFF: Turn off input method suggestion. Choose this option when you are coding. This is the
default option.
OFF(Aggressive): Force to disable input method suggestion. Choose this option only if "OFF"
option does not work for your input method.
Indentation Character:
You can choose which character string to use when indenting, such as tab character or 4 space characters.
Auto Indent:
You can choose whether to enable auto indentation for new lines after you click enter key. This feature can work on both programming files such as Java or C++, and markup files such as HTML or XML. By default, this feature is enabled.
Appearance and Personalization
Show Line Number:
You can choose whether to show line numbers in text editor or not.
Show Invisible Characters:
You can choose whether to show invisible numbers such as tab, space, etc.
Show Print Margin:
You can choose whether to show print margins, and you can set the print margin columns, by default it is 80.
Font Size:
You can choose the font size for text editing from 12px to 56px.
Visual Styles:
You can choose color schema for highlighting code files.
Theme:
You can choose your preferred application theme. Currently the options are light theme, dark theme, black theme, dark/light theme and black/light theme. The dark/light theme and black/light theme will change from light theme to dark/black theme automatically by the local time. The highlight syntax colors will also change for different theme.
Auto Save
Auto Save:
You can choose whether to automatically save modifications, by default it is not enabled.
Auto Save Interval:
You can choose the interval to trigger auto save from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. This setting item is only available when auto save is enabled.
