Notification

Introduction

Omnia notification contains now playing music metadata, including album artwork, song title, album name, artist name and elapsed time. Omnia notification contains common actions, including previous song, next song, play/pause button, shuffle and repeat button.

Notification can be displayed on lock screen in most devices, which can manage playback without unlocking the device.

Dismiss Notification

Before Android 7.0, there is an "X" close button in notification, you can dismiss the notification by clicking it. On Android 7.0 and above, there is no close button in notification. You can swipe the notification from left to right to dismiss it, when playback is paused.

Notification Style

Notification style varies on different Android versions, it may also vary on different device manufacturer and third party ROMs.

Before Android 7.0

Notification before Android 7.0 is designed by Omnia. It contains both small size and big size styles. It also contains a visible close button. The notification background can be dark or light, according to your device manufacturer.

Android 7.0 and above

Notification on Android 7.0 and above, will use Android system media style. The notification can be expanded/collapsed by click notification title. Commonly the notification background color is white. There is no close button in this notification, but you can dismiss it by swiping from left to right when playback is paused.

Android 8.0 and above

Notification on Android 8.0 and above is similar to the notification style on Android 7.0, but its background color is dynamically extracted from album artwork.
